Helen and Chris have their own farm and were joined by Chris’ two children, Hannah and Ben and their ponies, Wicket and Mylo for a family photo shoot. My main role was to get lots of images of the children however, Helen also wanted a few of her with her horse, Xante. I started with Helen who had chosen a green silky dress and she wanted action shots of her riding bare back! Once in the field there was a fallen tree which Helen wanted to jump – no mean feat riding bare back in a slippery silk dress! We then tried to get some shots of them standing but the horse decided to rear – I have no idea how Helen managed to stay on but she did! Note to self – silky dresses and riding bare back could be tricky!
We then did the children’s shots with Ben wearing a three piece suit with his 4 year old pony and Hannah, who was very nervous on her pony. We got some action shots of them cantering around the field. We then did our black background shots for which Hannah wore a spotty dress and Ben wore some burgundy trousers. We also got some lovely shots of the children by the pond before doing some on a log pile which we found. The children then sat on Helens horse for some shots in front of the farm house. Ben also rides dirt bikes so I wanted to get him on this in his leathers. The family dog had followed us around all day so we gave him some time to pose for some images too.
These are a few shots from our fab day together….
