Amber has previously modelled for me and when her mare had her foal 3 weeks ago Amber was really keen to get them booked in for a shoot to capture the early days of Darcey. Gill, Amber’s mum, also joined us for the day and Claire from www.clarearden.co.uk did hair and make-up. We started with Gill, who was very nervous – so much so I had to keep reminding her to ‘breathe’! This made for lots of giggles and she soon relaxed and settled into her model role. We got some fab shots of Gill with the big Bay with some great outfits including a multi coloured dress. We then got some black background shots of Amber with her mare and foal before we took them by hand to a nearby field. I have to give credit to Amber for how well she has handled her foal as it was so well behaved. We got some lovely shots of them all together in the field. To finish off we took some pictures of their three Jack Russell’s, mum, dad and the son ‘Milo’. Milo was a real performer and loved being photographed – we got some great begging shots of him.
