A Lasting Memory… Charlotte And Mia

Charlotte’s friend Vinny contacted me a few weeks ago to book me for a short notice shoot. Unfortunately I was booked up for 8 weeks, so being intrigued, I asked what the nature of the shoot was. Vinny explained that Charlotte’s horse Mia had been diagnosed with a brain tumor and malignant melanoma of the mouth. Mia previously had an operation to remove the tumours but sadly they returned. Due to this, poor Mia was being put to sleep 2 days later. Knowing this was going to be a significant day for Charlotte and with very little time, I agreed to do the photo shoot. The next day I met Charlotte and  beautiful Mia for their special session at Charlotte’s yard. Mia did Charlotte proud, she looked amazing and I managed to get some beautiful shots. Here are a few of the images of Charlotte and her gorgeous mare…Rest in peace Mia x

Hi Sue – I am very much an amateur photographer in the east midlands area and love to look at your wonderful photographs on FB and these ones of Mia are very moving.
Congratulations on your work, if you dont mind me asking how do you create the photograph so clear with the background black, the effect is stunning 🙂
    Kind regards
    Suzanne
