Its been over 12 months since my last photo shoot at the Society for Abandoned Animals in Sale (www.saarescue.co.uk) Im pleased to say the animals from last time had all found new homes and one of the feral cats was now looking to be re-homed as a domestic cat. I had a list of rabbits and cats to photograph, so off I went around the yard to try to hunt the ferals out. Last year it was a lovely sunny day and they were all sunbathing, this time they had all just had breakfast and had gone into hiding. I did manage to photograph all but 2 of the cats, which I was pleased about, as the society uses the images in their advertising campaigns. The staff and volunteers are amazing as are those who kindly donate money. The charity solely relies on public funding and currently costs £12,000 a month to keep running. I am donating my shoot fees for any session booked through the SAA, to the charity, and my husband Paul is also doing his bit too by building some new kennels for the dogs.
